What Is the Nationalism Series by John Monyjok Maluth?

The Nationalism Series is one of my ten published book series, with seven volumes released at the time of writing. These books teach you how to think bigger—beyond yourself, your family, clan, tribe, or ethnic group—and embrace the higher calling of citizenship.

I believe true peace begins with the individual. Too often, we blame governments and institutions for unrest, yet peace is an inner reality first. It’s the kind of peace Jesus spoke about—peace that transforms the individual and radiates outward to family, tribe, nation, and the world.

To illustrate, imagine if everyone in Juba carried personal peace—how would that affect Juba County, Central Equatoria, South Sudan, Africa, and eventually the world? That’s the concept behind this series: peace as an inner foundation for national stability.

The books also explore the “five kingdoms”: rocks, plants, animals, humans, and God. Humans stand above animals as a unique kingdom, but above humanity lies the Kingdom of God, the highest way of living. When individuals embrace this higher perspective, they naturally live as peacemakers and responsible citizens.

How Important Is the Nationalism Series?

These books are important because they help you think beyond narrow tribal identities.

  • Little thinking is believing only your clan or tribe matters.
  • Bigger and wiser thinking is recognizing that a country is a tapestry of many tribes, languages, and cultures.

Take South Sudan as an example—it has over 60 tribes, each with distinct beliefs and worldviews. Yet, together, they form one nation. This diversity is not a weakness but a strength—a colorful expression of unity.

For me, the Nationalism Series is not just about politics; it’s about self-discovery and self-improvement. Before you can understand society, you must understand yourself. That’s why these books start with the individual and expand outward to the collective.

How Can I Find and Buy Books from the Nationalism Series?

Buying the Nationalism Series depends on your location and resources.

  • If you live in developed countries (1st/2nd World): Buying is easy. Simply visit Amazon or other platforms, use your credit card or PayPal, and download the Kindle or PDF version—or order print editions.
  • If you live in South Sudan or similar regions: The challenge is payment methods and shipping. You’ll need:
    • A USD bank account (Equity Bank South Sudan recommended).
    • A Visa or MasterCard enabled for online purchases.
    • A valid mailing address if ordering Hardcover or Paperback.

At the time of writing, I personally used a Nairobi postal address for book deliveries because South Sudan lacked an internationally recognized system. The good news is that I’m working on printing and binding some of my books in Juba, so local bookstores may soon carry them.

Personality Types and the Nationalism Series

Not everyone loves books about nation-building. Some prefer fiction; others enjoy self-help or spiritual guides. That’s natural—it’s part of personality.

But reading about nationalism is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your country. It challenges you to think beyond comfort zones.

Remember, personality is a spectrum. No one is 100% introvert or extrovert. Likewise, not everyone will immediately love these books. But those drawn to history, philosophy, and self-improvement will likely resonate with this series.

Even if it’s not your natural genre, reading nationalism books at least once can broaden your worldview and help you see your nation through a higher lens.
